Seton Institute is an international humanitarian relief and development agency that supports the primary healthcare programs of Catholic Sisters in the least developed countries of the world. Since 1985, we have been committed to bringing health and hope to the world. We demonstrate this commitment by making grants to primary healthcare projects, shipping medical aid, sending teams of volunteer medical professionals and responding to natural disasters where Catholic Sisters serve.

Our Impact
Since 1985, Seton Institute has provided $11 million in grants and $40 million worth of medical aid to Sisters in 45 countries throughout Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe and Latin America.

Since all operating costs are covered by our sponsors Ascension Health and the Daughters of Charity Health System, 100% of your donation directly supports the health programs of Catholic Sisters in developing countries. We are a 501(c)(3) organization; all gifts are 100% tax-deductible.

“Can we help the poor in the poorest countries of the world?” In 1985, following a trip to Peru to initiate a primary healthcare training program, Sister Teresa Piro, DC said ‘yes.’
