Since 1985 Seton Institute has supported projects providing something as simple as an immunization to a child in Bolivia or transporting $5,000,000 of hospital equipment, supplies and medications to Mozambique. We exist to support healthcare projects of Catholic Sisters in lesser developed countries with shipments of medical equipment and supplies and with project funding. At least 80% of Seton Institute grants include support for water projects or nutritional food in order to get and keep people healthy.

We have funded a project providing seeds for a healthy and nutritional garden in Ethiopia and granted funds to purchase baby chicks which will mature in just six months and yield thousands of eggs, a significant source of protein that will bring nutrition, hope and a better life to the people of southwestern Nigeria. Seton Institute recently granted funds for grant for a sanitation project of implementing three Aqua Privy Latrines at Kisubi Hospital in Uganda. Kisubi Hospital serves a population which is 70% below the poverty line. The project will serve 113,934 people at the hospital’s catchments area and 139,623 people from the three sub-counties.

The Seton Food and Water Initiative was created to address the critical need for proper nutrition, clean water and healthy sanitation. Your support of this Initiative will have a significant impact on the lives of hundreds of thousands of women, men and children around the world.
