In addition requesting funding for projects, sisters who are providing healthcare in developing countries are invited to request shipments of needed medical equipment and supplies.  Through partnerships with Providence Health System and Catholic Medical Mission Board in CHUMA in the West and with the Mission Outreach Program of the Franciscan Hospital Sisters in the rest of the country, Seton Institute collects, sorts, cleans and repairs medical equipment and supplies from hospitals and vendors associated with Ascension Health System.  The Recovery and Redistribution Program significantly impacts the lives and health of hundreds of thousands of people in developing countries.

CHUMA (Catholic Health United for Medical Assistance) practices global solidarity and environmental stewardship by ensuring that useful medical supplies and equipment are shared with charitable healthcare organizations in economically developing countries.
